Troop 184 Shooting Sports Campout

The weekend of May 21st I went camping with my Scout Troop to be their shooting sports instructor for the weekend. We left town in a crazy late spring snowstorm not knowing if we should have cancelled the campout, and ended up in a totally blown forecast of pure sun, 60 degree temps, and sunburns!

The epic day of target shooting began after a huge breakfast scrambler, and we worked on rifle shooting until lunch time, followed up by shotgun shooting all afternoon until we literally ran out of ammo. It was an epic day.

Multiple new scouts and new shooters 1st times behind a firearm, and they absolutely rocked it. Being a BSA shooting sports instructor is one of the most fun things you can ever do.
